Fall is officially here, and there’s no better place to enjoy the season than Rutherford County! With a variety of festivals and activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here are some of our favorite fall events that you won’t want to miss:

October 6th – 3rd Annual Fall Festival at SportsCom

This year SportsCom is transforming into a fall festival wonderland for its third annual celebration! This family-friendly event is perfect for an idyllic fall day, with trunk-or-treat and trick-or-treating, local vendors offering artisanal goods, and pumpkins and mums for sale to get your home ready for the season. Don’t forget to bring your appetite because the event features dozens of local food trucks! Kids will love the petting zoo, face painting, and inflatables—all of which are free, along with parking and entry. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a festive day out with the family.

October 12th – Martin’s Home and Garden Annual Fall Festival

If you’re a gardening enthusiast or just love adding seasonal touches to your home, Martin’s Home and Garden’s Fall Festival is a can’t-miss event! Browse through a beautiful selection of perennials, mums, and pumpkins to get your home ready for fall. There’s plenty to keep the kids entertained with fun games, while you shop from local vendors and enjoy delicious offerings from food trucks on-site. With free entry and parking, it’s the perfect family outing to enjoy the crisp autumn air while shopping for all your seasonal favorites.

October 18th – Veteran Fall Festival

Supporting our veterans is a priority here in Murfreesboro, and the Veteran Fall Festival is a wonderful way to give back. Hosted at the local VA, this event is dedicated to veterans and their families, offering a comprehensive look at the resources available in our community. It’s a great opportunity to connect with others and show support for those who have served. This event is free and exclusive to veterans, making it a special day for those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country.

October 19th – Fall Kids Fest

This one’s all about the kids! The Fall Kids Fest at The Avenue is packed with fun activities from trick-or-treating and kids’ entertainers to a costume parade. It’s the perfect way for little ones to get into the Halloween spirit. With local vendors, food trucks, and door prizes, there’s plenty for parents to enjoy too. Make sure to arrive early for the pumpkin patch decorating, as supplies are limited. The event runs from 10 am to 2 pm, making it ideal for families with young children who might need a nap after all the excitement!

October 25th – Fountains Fall Harvest Celebration

Celebrate the harvest season at the Fountains at Gateway! This event is perfect for enjoying a crisp autumn evening with friends and family. With great food, live entertainment, and plenty of fall-themed activities, it’s a festive way to welcome the season. The celebration runs from 6-9 pm, so gather your loved ones and head over for a night of fun and community spirit.

October 26th – One Church Barfield Fall Festival

If you’re looking for a festival close to Halloween, the One Church Barfield Fall Festival is just what you need. The highlight is a scenic hayride around the property—a classic fall activity that everyone can enjoy. In addition, there will be a petting zoo, face painting, inflatables, and a trunk-or-treat. With food trucks on site and activities for all ages, it’s a perfect way to spend the day. Over 4,000 people attended last year, so be sure to register in advance to secure your spot at this popular event!

October 26th – Halloween in the Park

Head to Sharps Springs Natural Area in Smyrna for a spooktacular time at Halloween in the Park, presented by Smyrna Parks and Recreation! This family-friendly event offers an evening full of fun and frights for all ages. Enjoy exciting games, bounce around in inflatables, visit nearly 80 booths, and grab delicious bites from food vendors. Don’t miss the popular costume contest and the thrilling haunted hayride for just $5 per person. Join in the event from 3 PM to 8:30 PM for an evening of festive Halloween fun in the great outdoors! All ages are welcome, so grab your costume and bring the whole family!

Deadline: October 31st – Fall Photo Contests with L&L Contractors

Capture the beauty of fall in downtown Murfreesboro with the L&L Contractors’ Fall Photo Contest! Snap a picture with “Skelly” outside their office, tag them on social media, and you could win a $250 Amazon gift card. It’s a fun way to engage with your community and show off your photography skills while celebrating the season. Don’t miss your chance to enter!
